Tips to Increase the Lifespan of Your HVAC System

Helpful Tips to Consider

1. Replace your air filter at the beginning of every season or every 90 days for the efficient running of your HVAC and to increase the life span of the unit and air quality (less dust). If you have pets, you may need to shorten the time between changing your filters.
2. Get the right type and size of air filters. Buy washable HEPA filters and energy-efficient filters for your system. If you need help deciding, give us a call.
3. Schedule regular tune-ups for optimal performance and increased life span of your furnace and AC units. We recommend in the spring before you restart your air conditioner and in the fall before you start your furnace for the winter.
4. Install a programmable thermostat that allows you to program the times and temps, so when the family is away, it can be warmer during the hot summer days and cooler during the winter while you are away. Then you can reset it to comfort before you return home. All programmable thermostats can be overridden, so you can adjust it cooler or warmer when you need to.
